Kit Harington Doing Cersei Lannister’s Walk of Shame Is Saturday Night Live Gold

Game of Thronesfever is sweeping the nation right now and it’s hit Saturday Night Live pretty dang hard. Nowhere is that more clear than in the promo for Kit Harington‘s SNL-hosted episode, which is set to air this coming Saturday on NBC. Not only does the promo feature SNL cast member Leslie Jones (a known and unabashed GoT superfan) recreating Hodor’s “hold the door” scene, but she also recreates Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow’s first meeting and Cersei’s walk of shame, involving Harington for both iconic moments.

This is the SNL promo to end all SNL promos, folks. Not only does Jones go all out to recreate some of the most special moments from GoT history, but she manages to rope in Harington to help make her GoT dreams come true. Sure, Harington is reluctant to help, but he cannot resist the power of Jones’ fandom. Nowhere is this more evident than in the final moments of the promo for Harington’s upcoming SNL episode, where Jones dons the Shame Nun costume from GoT and makes Harington wear a terrible, short-haired blonde wig to mimic Cersei’s hair from the now infamous scene. The pair are seeing walking through one of the SNL sets as donuts are flung at Harington (a much better substitute than all of the much grosser matter and stones flung at Cersei during her walk) as Jones shouts “Shame!”

It is pure gold and you must watch it now. Seriously. Go watch.

Harington will make his SNL hosting debut on Saturday, April 6, with musical guest Sara Bareilles set to perform. This will be one of the few chances we get to see Harington let loose and stretch his comedy legs. If this promo is proof of anything, it’s that Harington is not only more than game to do every possible parody of GoT the show can think of, but his comedic timing is perfection.

Make sure you tune in this Saturday to watch Harington — it will be well worth your time.
