Following their January engagement, lovebirds Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger have been juggling wedding planning duties with their own busy schedules. Despite our initial thoughts that this could be a pressure-cooker of a situation, it turns out that Pratt and Schwarzenegger want to plan an intimate wedding which means that some stress could be alleviated since they’re going for such a relaxed, low-key vibe.
According to a source speaking with People magazine, Pratt and Schwarzenegger may not know much about what they want to happen at their wedding just yet, but they do know the tone that they want to set.
“Chris and Katherine’s wedding will be a very intimate affair with just their closest loved ones,” the source claims in new comments to People. “They don’t want it to be a circus. The focus will be their commitment to each other, and God will play a very large role on their big day. It’s been such a special time not just for them, but also for their families. Everyone is so excited.”
Schwarzenegger has, in a way, supported the idea that she and Pratt are keeping the wedding intimate and family-oriented in her own recent comments about her upcoming wedding. Although she’s been cautious about sharing information, Schwarzenegger did share this with Entertainment Tonight about the wedding planning process back in March: “I feel like we’re all really involved in wedding planning. I think that, you know, for me my family is very involved. I’m very involved, [Chris is] very involved… So it’s a great combination of everything and just a really exciting and fun [time].”
We also know that Schwarzenegger has also begun hunting for her wedding dress and is at least planning for fun pre-wedding events like the bridal shower. According to E! News, Schwarzenegger was spotted leaving a bridal store in Los Angeles on Tuesday. She left holding a black garment bag and a source told E! that she was in the shop for over an hour. The source also shared that Schwarzenegger “just got a dress for [the bridal shower] and is figuring out some of the other details.”
