Hollywood is comprised of such a small pool of people it’s easy to forget the old adage, “Stars, they’re just like us!” And just like us they take their besties out on their birthday. Such is the case for Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson. The GOOP founder and her bestie took an enviable trip to yoga to celebrate Hudson’s 40th birthday.
Posting a photo to her Instagram, Paltrow and Hudson are seen beaming together, looking completely relaxed and happy. Paltrow explains she took her BFF to “birthday yoga,” calling Hudson her “little sister.” She goes on to say that Hudson “radiate[s] happiness and make[s] everything fun.”

Here’s hoping she got Hudson’s consent to post that photo, unlike Paltrow’s own daughter who wasn’t pleased about her mom sharing family pictures. It’s great that these two are honoring each other. Hudson is still in the grips of new mommy-hood, giving birth to daughter Rani Rose only seven months ago.
But we gotta take a minute to look at this picture. Outside of the fact that there’s not an ounce of bedhead between the two of them, seeing a bunch of balloons in a yoga studio had to come as a shock to everyone else. In all seriousness, these two women are amazing and it’s fantastic that they’re able to show their appreciation for each other. If they’re looking for a third bestie to join their yoga party there would be a ton of volunteers.
