After two days of curiosity from around the globe with the arrival of a royal baby, Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, shared the first look at and photos of Baby Sussex. On Wednesday morning, Harry, Meghan and Baby Sussex attended a photocall with the parents giving a short interview to introduce their son to the world. Baby Sussex slept soundly through the entire event and both Harry and Meghan seemed to be glowing with happiness. Be still, our beating hearts!
Harry and Meghan brought their son to St. George’s Hall at Windsor Castle on Wednesday morning local time to introduce him to the world. Over the course of the event we learned so much from the couple’s first days as new parents, what Baby Sussex’s temperament is like and when Harry and Meghan will introduce him to the rest of the family, including Queen Elizabeth II.
The first photos of Baby Sussex are beyond precious. Subverting tradition yet again, it was Harry who held Baby Sussex during the photocall portion of this morning’s interview as the family posed together. Meghan looked so chic in a simple white dress with minimal makeup and loose waves. Harry looked dapper in a summery, light gray suit and tie. Baby Sussex, still only a few days old but already getting everyone’s attention, slept through his first big interview with the press dressed all in white like the baby angel that he is.
During the interview, Meghan has nothing but the sweetest things to say about her son. Speaking about her first days as a mom and what life has been like with Baby Sussex, Meghan shared that “it’s magic. It’s pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world so I’m really happy,” and went on to say that her son “has the sweetest temperament, he’s really calm. He’s been the dream. It’s been a special couple [of] days.”

Harry and Meghan are also still trying to figure out who Baby Sussex looks like. Harry shared that they’re excited to see him grow and change in the coming days and weeks. “Everyone says that babies change so much over two weeks. We’re basically monitoring how the changing process happens over this next month really. But his looks are changing every single day, so who knows,” he remarked.
Harry went on to echo Meghan, telling the press that “it’s only been two and a half days, three days, but we’re just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy and be able to spend some precious time as he slowly starts to grow up.”

Harry and Meghan also confirmed during that after the short interview was over, they would go to more private chambers to introduce Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, to their fourth great-grandchild and the seventh member of the family in line for the throne (after Prince Charles, Prince William, William’s three children and Prince Harry). Meghan also confirmed her mother, Doria Ragland, was still with them and that she was excited for all of the precious family time that awaited them in the coming days.
It took a while for Baby Sussex to finally arrive, with the curiosity around whether he’d been born or not incurring a few false reports, but we’re so glad he’s made his public debut. This is one happy family we’re ready to follow on their new adventure together.
