Did you ever see the 2013 movie Delivery Man? It starred Vince Vaughn as a man who has fathered hundreds of children via his, ahem, donations to the local sperm bank. Well, it’s getting a sequel — sort of. In a truly unexpected turn of events, one of Bachelorette Hannah B.’s suitors has fathered 114 children as a sperm donor. True story, and one that could certainly be an interesting byline in Hannah B.’s upcoming 15th season.
As is the tradition heading into a new season of The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, ABC released photos and full biographies for all of the contestants who’ll be vying for the rose-giver’s heart. In Hannah B.’s case, there are 30. One of them is a man by the name of Matteo Valles and, on the surface, he seems like any other suitor. He’s 25, handsome and got a degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech. He has a job as a management consultant in Atlanta, Georgia. But Valles’ extracurriculars make him stand out — in his own words, he is a sperm donor “on the side” who has “helped create 114 children for all types of families.”
So, it goes without saying that Valles is a virile man.
And, really, what Valles has done for other families who may have been struggling to conceive is actually pretty cool. Sure, it’s probably not the most run-of-the-mill lifestyle choice to be an “active sperm donor,” but that doesn’t mean it isn’t noble. Considering Hannah B. has already expressed her desire to start a family soon after getting married, Valles might be just the guy for her. He clearly believes in family and, you know, has zero apparent motility issues.
Besides, having a suitor who has fathered 114 children might not even be a big deal to the Bachelorette. Judging by host Chris Harrison’s recent interview with ET, Hannah B. is pretty preoccupied with nailing down the right guy for her — whoever that may be.
“Sitting here right now, I really don’t know how it’s going to end,” Harrison admitted, adding of the potential for a season-end proposal, “I am hopeful and she is hopeful, but the way she wants to find love and the way she is going about this is really true and sincere. She is not just going to do it to do it, and as rough as it has been and as wild as it has been, I am not sure she is going to be able to get there. And that is because she doesn’t know if she will be able to get there. So, I am interested as anybody to see how this all wraps up.”
Find out more about Hannah’s suitors (including Valles and his donations) when the 15th season of The Bachelorette premieres on Monday, May 13 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
