It’s amazing to hear the stories of how brides fulfill the phrase “something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue” at their wedding. While we don’t know what she did for “new” or “blue”, we do know Katherine Schwarzenegger wore Maria Shriver’s veil at her wedding to Chris Pratt. That’s certainly a way to get the “borrowed” and “old” together.
Schwarzenegger and Pratt married on June 7 in an intimate ceremony in Montecito , California. For the occasion, the blushing bride expertly wore the veil her mother wore in 1986 in her opulent wedding to actor Arnold Schwarzenegger. The veil was paired with a custom lace embroidered shorter veil, and it all looked incredibly elegant with Katherine’s Armani Prive-designed wedding gown. The whole affair was the culmination of several months of wedding preparations, from the coupl’sred carpet debut, to Schwarzenegger’s bridal shower capped off with a darling toast from Pratt, to the release of all the details on their ceremony.

The two have certainly had some controversy in their way to the altar. When Pratt posted his wedding portrait with his new bride, many were upset that he deemed it the happiest day in his life, despite having already been married (to actress Anna Faris) and having a son, Jack. Though Faris herself is said not to have taken offense, revealing to a source that she’s happy for her ex-husband.
Regardless of Pratt’s actions, Katherine Schwarzenegger certainly made a lovely bride. The integration of her mother’s veil just made everything that much more special, no doubt.
