We’re so glad to see this star thriving. Irina Shayk still believes in marriage after Bradley Cooper split. The model got candid about her hopes for the future when it comes to her personal life and why she’s confident she’ll find love again after her devastating split.
Shayk and Cooper dated for two years from spring of 2015 to this past June. The couple share one child, 2-year-old daughter Lea De Seine. Rumors swirled around the couple that the relationship fell apart due to Cooper’s romantic involvement with his A Star Is Born costar, Lady Gaga. Those rumors, however, were swiftly put to rest. Shayk and Cooper’s relationship had reportedly been going through difficult transitions for some time, and the pair found it the better choice to end their relationship and focus on co-parenting their daughter.

Since the breakup, Shayk has been traveling, taking care of herself and working on new projects. In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the model talked about her future and her hope to find love and possibly marriage. “Do I believe in marriage,” she pondered. “Yes, of course. I’m not the kind of person who is against it.” Shayk also discussed the public’s deep fascination with her previous relationship with Cooper. “I think it’s just human beings: if you cannot have it, you want to have it,” she shared. “There’s a curtain there, you want to open the curtain. It’s curiosity I guess.”
A source told E! News in June that it wasn’t until after Shayk and Cooper spent time apart that they knew the relationship was coming to an end. “As much as they tried to rekindle what they once had,” an insider shared. “They couldn’t find that spark.”
Now, Shayk is turning all of her focus to her daughter and teaching her early to embrace what makes her unique. “You have to be really truly yourself for your kids, otherwise you’re living in a lie,” Shayk told Harper’s Bazaar. “Tell me one reason why, just because you’re a mother, you need to wear a longer skirt. No! I don’t believe in that. I really don’t. How is it that people think of this idea? Why should you have to change who you are and how you feel just because you become a mother? I’m like, tell me why. Tell me one reason! I don’t believe in that. I don’t understand why.”
