Khloé Kardashian lost her father, Robert Kardashian, when she was 19-years-old, but she still keeps his memory alive. In a clip from E!’s Revenge Body, Khloé Kardashian revealed True and her late father Robert talk “every night” via prayer. Revenge Body sees Kardashian helping people to overcome obstacles and transform their bodies. In the most recent episode, sisters Amber and Ashley bond with Kardashian since over their lost fathers. Amber and Ashley’s father died of esophageal cancer when they were just thirteen, while Robert Kardashian Sr. passed of that same cancer after an eight-week battle in 2003. “It’s a rare cancer and it’s a very fast cancer,” Kardashian told them.
Kardashian told them it isn’t odd to still talk to a parent after their death, revealing that she and her daughter True talk to her fatherregularly. “I still talk to my dad all the time, every night. Me and my daughter, we pray to him, we talk to him, so I’m a big believer of that,” she said. It’s certainly a beautiful image of Kardashian and True, the granddaughter her father never met, honoring him nightly.

For Kardashian,though, she refuses to let her father’s death dominate her life, telling the sisters, “You know, at least I had 19 amazing years with my dad, and I have the best memories. You’re allowed to be sad and you should mourn, but the more we live in our past, it just hinders from any personal growth. Because we’re not focusing on the moment right now.” This a common refrain from Kardashian who refuses to give into what others say, whether that’s about her relationships or how much money she spends on her child.
It’s a great attitude to have and it’s wonderful to hear how, despite her personal losses, Kardashian is still able to honor and memorialize her dad and create new memories with True.
