We’re not at all surprised where this famous couple met. Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger met at church. The Guardians of the Galaxy actor and Schwarzenegger married this past June in Montecito, California in a romantic setting surrounded by family and friends after one year of dating.

Pratt and Schwarzenegger are still very much in their honeymoon phase, as the actor shared previously. But before they started dating, the pair met at a place that’s very important to both of their lives. “We met at church! There’s a lot of kismet, a lot of connections, but that is where we met,” the actor told Extra at the Universal Studios Hollywood’s opening of the new Jurassic World ride. Though he didn’t reveal which church he and Schwarzenegger met at, Pratt is known to frequent Hillsong Church LA, a Los Angeles chapel that’s also been the favorite of celebrities like Justin Bieber and Kendall Jenner.

Pratt and Schwarzenegger had often been spotted together prior to making their first official red carpet appearance at the Avengers: Endgame premiere in April. The two had been romantically linked since Father’s Day in June 2018, and began making more public appearances following their January 2019 engagement.

Since their wedding, the couple honeymooned in Hawaii and celebrated Pratt’s 40th birthday, with Schwarzenegger surprising her husband with a unique gift: two piglets! The couple named the piglets Faith and Tim after country crooners Faith Hill and Tim McGraw. Schwarzenegger has also grown incredibly close to Pratt’s son Jack, whom the actor shares with ex-wife Anna Faris. The couple is still smitten about their newlywed life over a month after their nuptials.

“They’re very compatible and have a lot in common,” a source shared with People. “Family is very important to both of them, as well as their spirituality.”
