This celebrity health guru is full of surprises. Gwyneth Paltrow revealed the pre-wedding diet she hate before her nuptials to husband Brad Falchuk — and TBH, it sounds pretty awesome. The Goop founder, who’s usually known for her über-healthy lifestyle and eating habits, ate — wait for it — fries and whiskey before her wedding. We’re serious.
On the first first episode of Goop’s new podcast, The Beauty Closet, Paltrow revealed that she enjoyed a bit of fast food and dark liquor before her wedding to Falchuk last September. In conversation with the podcast’s hosts, Goop editors Jean Godfrey-June and Megan O’Neil, Paltrow was asked if she had eliminated alcohol, caffeine, gluten, dairy and sugar from her diet prior to her wedding. Turns out, it was the complete opposite. “I was too stressed! No, I was really like French fries and whiskey right up to the day,” she said. “It’s the new Goop way, OK?” Honestly, we love this quasi-rebrand.

Paltrow and Falchuk met on the set of Glee (on which he was a writer and she was a guest star) in 2010 and began dating in 2014. They went public with their relationship in 2015 and announced their engagement three years later in January 2018. The couple had a small wedding ceremony in the Hamptons on Long Island, New York the following September.
Both have been married previously with Falchuk ending his marriage to Suzanne Bukinik in 2013 after nearly 20 years. Paltrow and her ex, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, had a different separation as they “consciously uncoupled” in March 2014. They share two children together, Apple, 15, and Moses, 13. With the profound platform Paltrow has, we love seeing a bride share pre-wedding diet by shaking-up expectations.
