If you’ve ever been curious about how to ruffle the feathers of Goop’s seemingly unflappable CEO, you’re about to find out. Because Gwyneth Paltrow’s response to a troll questioning her cooking skills makes it crystal clear that Gwynnie doesn’t like having her culinary prowess called into question. The five-time cookbook author fielded questions during an Instagram Live session earlier this week, and, well, let’s just say the pot boiled over.
Squinting as she read “fan” questions from her screen, Paltrow came across one rather bold keyboard warrior wanting to know whether she actually cooks. “Yes, I f—ing cook! Goddamnit. You think I would write — you think I would pretend to write cookbooks if I didn’t cook?” Paltrow unleashed before other fans intervened to defend the actress’s honor. “Thank you,” she told her supporters, “and f— that person!”
She has a point — it would be a rather elaborate ruse she pulled off if she didn’t know how to cook. Paltrow has had five cookbooks published so far: 2011’s Notes From My Kitchen Table, that same year’s My Father’s Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family & Togetherness, 2013’s It’s All Good: Delicious, Easy Recipes That Will Make You Look Good and Feel Great, 2016’s It’s All Easy: Delicious Weekday Recipes for the Super-Busy Home Cook and this year’s The Clean Plate: Eat, Reset, Heal. So, take note, y’all; Mrs. Paltrow does not play around when it comes to the kitchen.

One person who may be able to attest to Paltrow’s culinary skills on a deeply personal level is her husband, Brad Falchuk… especially now that the couple is planning to move in together full time. Although they’ve been married for a year, they couple has mastered the art of separate togetherness — living together four nights of the week and then staying in their separate homes the rest of the time.
However, in InStyle’s special 25th-anniversary issue, Paltrow revealed their plans to finally fully cohabitate. “Married life has been really good. We took a year to let everybody [in the family] take it in and let the dust settle. And now we’re moving in together this month,” she said. “I adore my husband. He’s brilliant and deeply kind. I feel like he’s a real equal too. And he pushes me in the best ways. I really like being married. It’s fun.”
Hey, as long as Falchuk keeps commentary about his wife’s cooking complimentary, they should be just fine.
