Today in fun-news-that-doesn’t-actually-shock-us: Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Lawson, says Blue Ivy is a great makeup artist. While the 7-year-old has already cracked the Billboard Top 100, she’s clearly conquering every facet of the arts with her latest experimentation with makeup.
Blue is “quite the makeup artist,” Lawson told Entertainment Tonight while attending BeautyCon Festival in LA. She shared that Blue Ivy has perfected a skill that few adults have even mastered: the cat eye. “She puts stones and does all this fancy stuff. She can do a perfect cat eye. She’s a little artist.” And Beyoncé’s mom is so proud of her granddaughter. “I’ve bought Blue so many makeup kits, much to her dad’s dismay!” Lawson added. “But it’s just for playtime. We have fun!”

Fans and followers of Beyoncé have been treated to sneak-peeks of Blue Ivy’s work before. The “Spirit” songstress shared on Instagram a picture of Blue Ivy decked out in rhinestones, glitter, and adding a bright pink lip to her look. The photo is from 2016, so we can only imagine just how much Blue Ivy’s skills have grown since then.
The 7-year-old seems to be enjoying every bit of her life, including her role as big sister to Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s twins. “She is very sassy, high energy and knows what she wants,” a source told People. “Especially after the twins [two-year-olds Sir and Rumi] were born, Beyoncé made sure that Blue was able to embrace her new role as a big sister. She also lets her go to video shoots, award shows and music recording. They have a very special bond!”
