Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Just Spent Their First Family Holiday With Baby Archie in a Dreamy Locale

The next time you catch a glimpse of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, they might look slightly sun-kissed and noticeably more relaxed — according to Vanity Fair, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry just got back from a secret trip to Ibiza with baby Archie. As in, yes, the sweet little family finally squeezed in their first official family vacay, and it seems to coincide with Meghan’s recent 38th birthday.

Per Spanish news outlets, Meghan, Harry and baby Archie few from London to the Balearic Islands aboard a private jet on Tuesday, Aug. 6, and departed on Monday, Aug. 12. Amazingly, the royals seem to have gone unnoticed by any paparazzi. Then again, they did reportedly hire five Spanish escorts to join forces with their existing security team while on the trip. With that much man — and, hey, maybe woman — power in their near vicinity at all times, the Sussex family likely wasn’t very accessible to prying eyes.

Both Harry and Meghan enjoyed vacations to the area in years past. In 2016, Meghan soaked up the sun with several friends, including childhood friend Benita Litt and fashion designer Misha Nonoo (who, fun fact, supposedly set up Harry and Meghan). Harry traveled to the Balearic Islands on multiple occasions in the late ’80s and early ’90s with his father Prince Charles, mother, the late Princess Diana, and brother, Prince William.

If the Sussex family did, in fact, spend six days in the area recently on their secret family vacay, the Majorca Daily Bulletin reports that they likely stayed in a private villa. Perhaps one with another connection to the royal family? Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, could have hooked them up with the local mansion owned by her uncle, Gary Goldsmith. Or, as Kate and her sister Pippa Middleton affectionately refer to him, “Uncle G.” The real estate developer rents out the palatial property, which is referred to as the Bang Bang House.

Sadly, not even a trip to Ibiza allows the Sussex family to escape the constant specter of controversy. The Daily Mail is now reporting that Kate and William are delaying their visit to the Queen during her annual holiday retreat at Balmoral Castle so that they can avoid running into Meghan and Harry.

But, c’mon, recent interactions between the two households seem to suggest everyone is getting on fine. We sure hope Harry, Meghan and precious baby Archie enjoyed their Ibiza R&R, because they’ll need that peace of mind to deal with rumors like this.
