Is it just us, or is 2019 the year of J.Lo? Between her recent engagement to Alex Rodriguez and her hotly anticipated feature film Hustlers hitting theaters this week, the star is seriously at the top of her game. Jennifer Lopez and Hoda Kotb talked about the Super Bowl halftime show and kids with A.Rod this week, and while Lopez was carefully non-committal, her answers pointed toward a pretty exciting 2020 too. Lopez may not be able to confirm or deny specific rumors at this point, but we’re calling it now: both a J.Lo Super Bowl and a J.Lo-A.Rod baby are on our radar for the upcoming year.
As Lopez settled in to answer questions about Hustlers, Kotb got right down to business, asking about the rumors that the singer would be performing at this year’s Super Bowl. “I don’t know. I don’t know,” Lopez repeated coyly, smiling. (A source told Hollywood Life earlier this week that a deal is “extremely close to being done.”)
“Do you want more children?” Kotb fired off next. “Yeah,” Lopez replies without missing a beat. The singer, 50, currently has two kids, 11-year-old twins Max and Emme, and fiancé Rodriguez, 44, has two kids as well, 14-year-old Natasha and 11-year-old Ella. But if we’re reading Lopez correctly here, it looks like the Lopez-Rodriguez clan isn’t done growing yet!
Hustlers marks an incredibly exciting career moment for Lopez — as would a Super Bowl show — and she makes it clear to Kotb how much this film, and the stories it represents, has meant to her. Her personal life, too, is fulfilling Lopez like never before: “I haven’t had it before, and he says the same thing,” she says of her relationship with Rodriguez. Personally, we are more than here for the Year of J.Lo — and Super Bowl or no, we’re sure the star has more exciting announcements in her future.
