Chrissy Teigen Just Made a Cardinal Celebrity Mistake — and Posted Her Email Address

Some stars are famously unfiltered — but yesterday, Chrissy Teigen posted her actual email address online, and we think it’s safe to say that she’ll be triple-checking her tweets before sharing them from now on. That is, unless you want to be on the receiving end of a lot of unsolicited FaceTime calls.

Let’s just say Teigen learned that hard way that if you give a fan an inch, they’ll take a mile — and seize the chance to chat with you. It all started when the cookbook author accidentally posted her email address. The post in question appears to have been deleted, but not before fans caught a glimpse at the famous lady’s contact info.

“Fuck I posted my email address lmao,” Teigen tweeted of the incident. Seems harmless enough, right? Well, not if you have more than 11 million followers.

Teigen began receiving FaceTime calls after making this social media slip. The good news? They weren’t as X-rated as she imagined. Actually, the interactions seemed quite pleasant, based on Teigen’s follow-up tweet, which read, “Oh my god people are FaceTiming me. was 100% sure this would be a penis but nope just a nice stranger.” She included a video of herself and her mom chatting with some guy named Ricardo.

We imagine this had to have been super overwhelming for Teigen, but it seems she got a few laughs out of the whole ordeal.

We’re guessing Teigen won’t be making this mistake again — though it’s not the first time something like this has happened. Teigen accidentally published her phone number in her cookbook Cravings in 2016, which was spotted on a pic of her dog’s collar. “Not as bad as when I published my phone number on my dog’s collar in my cookbook,” Teigen tweeted last night. “Everything disabled and changed emails. but I love you guys and thank you for the kind words lol.” If you were hoping to FaceTime with Teigen, you’ve missed your chance.
