John Krasinski Says Having the Same Job as Wife Emily Blunt Actually Helps Their Marriage

Sorry to Pam from The Office but lo these years later, Jim is very happily married to someone else. Er, more accurately: John Krasinski (who played Pam’s hubs Jim on The Office) is still in wedded bliss with wife Emily Blunt after tying the knot in 2010.

So how do they remain so happy after nine years together — even with the Hollywood pressures of a two-actor family, and the demands of their two shared children? Well, the key to a successful and enduring relationship is to truly admire your spouse, Krasinski recently told E! News.

“I gotta say it just sort of happens organically,” he said at the season two premiere of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan in NYC. “It’s one of those things where I was a huge fan of hers before I even met her, so I continue to be a huge fan of hers in everything she does.”

He also previously told BBC’s The Graham Norton Show that he admired her to such an extent, in fact, that it was borderline creepy. “I was full stalker status,” he said, recalling when he pursued Blunt aggressively for dates. He joked that he had seen her movie The Devil Wears Prada “give or take, 72” times.

Beyond that, he says that the demands of Hollywood actually bond the pair together rather than rend them apart, because they both truly understand the unique kind of work the other does — and they both understand the crazy scheduling factors that come into play.

“We’re just extremely supportive, we get what the job is and that you gotta travel and do some stuff,” he said. “But it’s always about coming back home and being together, it’s the most important thing.”

Aw, aren’t they just the cutest?
