Lady Gaga Rocked Pink Hair & Danced on a Bar as a Bridesmaid in Her Best Friend’s Wedding

You’ve got to give her this — Mother Monster knows how to celebrate. In photos and videos shared to social media over the weekend, Lady Gaga can be seen rocking head-to-toe pink as a bridesmaid in longtime makeup artist and best friend Sarah Tanno’s wedding. But Gaga didn’t just dye her hair to match her dress. In addition to serving up the fierce look, she also jumped onstage at one point over the weekend to dance on a bar top with the bride.

Gaga took to her Instagram Stories to document her weekend in Mexico spent supporting her close pal. In one photo, she stands on a beach with the sun setting behind her. “Two of my best friends just got married. Time to party!” Gaga captioned the snapshot showing off her head-to-toe pink ensemble. In another photo, Gaga posed with a fellow bridesmaid, the women each holding a leg up and their bouquets off to the side. A final photo revealed the beautiful bride and groom, which Gaga captioned, “Congratulations, I love you!!”

And while the photos were gorgeous, the real fun came in a video shared by Gaga. In it, she, Tanno and a few other bridesmaids dance playfully on a bar top as Usher’s “Yeah!” blares in the background.

Of course, fans who follow Gaga on social media know she didn’t exactly die her hair solely for Tanno’s wedding. Gaga has been sporting the pastel hue since October. But hey, who’s to say she didn’t dye it back then in anticipation of her best friend’s big day? We all know Gaga is a creative genius, so we’re not putting anything past her. Last month, she made a cheeky nod to her new hue in an Instagram post toasting the success of the A Star Is Born album. “A year ago, A Star Was Born, and here we are 6 times pink platinum,” she captioned a photo of herself with the album (and her pink hair, natch).

Earlier this year, her hairstylist Frederic Aspiras explained that Gaga’s hair is basically an extension of her art. “She can really let you believe that this is who she is. That’s why she’s such an amazing chameleon,” Aspiras told Allure. “But her purest form is when she is in her ripped-up fishnets, boots, and leather jacket — or a gown — and when her iconic silver-blonde hair is messy or she has a wig on. We live and breathe our art, and that’s what keeps us inspired. It’s not a costume per se. It’s what we love to do.”
