The Frozen 2 Cast Went Full La La Land on the Streets of LA, and It Was Predictably Chaos

Frozen 2 hits theaters tomorrow, and the cast is subtly reminding the world the best way they know how — stopping traffic on a busy Los Angeles crosswalk with a live performance of Frozen‘s hit songs. That’s right, the Frozen 2 cast put on a full La La Land-style performance on the streets of LA.

The idea was, of course, James Corden‘s, who seems to delight in putting celebs in strange, potentially dangerous situations more than any other TV host. On Wednesday’s episode of The Late Late Show, Corden brought Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff, and Josh Gad to the intersection of Beverly Blvd and Genesee Ave to sing “Do You Want to Build a Snowman,” “Let It Go,” and more — with mixed reactions from those attempting to drive through the crosswalk.

“I can’t believe it, this is a dream come true,” Bell jokes. “Ever since I was a little girl, I have been running into crosswalks and breaking into song.”

Corden prepares the performers for what they’re about to get into: “When you’re out there it’s live traffic, real cars, okay?” he shouts. “But you’ve got to keep going — if you get hit, you know what you do? LET IT GO!”

Honestly, we wouldn’t be too mad about seeing a performance this epic on our ride to work. You can see some commuters getting into it and singing along, especially when Menzel is belting out “Let It Go.” But between the streamers, the fake snow, and the cast fully climbing onto the hoods of passing cars — let’s just say this was a production LA won’t forget anytime soon.

Frozen 2 will be out in theaters on Nov. 22, 2019.
