Lori Laughlin’s daughter Olivia Jade just released a video of herself on Youtube after eight months of silence. Sitting in her bedroom (sans college photos) facing the camera Jade casually welcomes everyone back to her Youtube channel. The video has received over 400,000 views in about 2 hours of going live and the comments aren’t pretty.
Jade went on to explain that while she wants to talk “about everything” she can’t due to legal reasons. “As much as I wish I could talk about all of this, it’s really hard for me to say this because I know that it’s something that needs to be addressed… I didn’t know when I should come back to Youtube. The reason for that is because I’m legally not allowed to speak on anything going on right now,” Jade said.
“There’s no point in me talking to the camera for 10 minutes about how I wish I could say something when I really can’t. So I’m going to leave it at that…this is the best I can do and I want to move on with my life. Not trying to be in a selfish way. It’s so hard because I’m not trying to like make this about me or how I’ve been because that’s not the point… I also know that I want to start taking small steps in the right direction,” Jade said to the camera.
Lori Laughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli pleaded not guilty to charges of money laundering conspiracy, conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and honest services mail and wire fraud, and conspiracy to commit federal programs bribery — and there is evidence to suggest Olivia Jade and her sister Isabella Giannulli were more than bystanders in their parents’ actions. So, if she wants to move in the right direction, there are arguably other steps she could take.
According to Us Weekly, Lori thinks the jury will be sympathetic toward her during trial. “She feels they’ll believe that the accusations against her don’t merit criminal prosecution,” says the source. The source continued by explaining how involved Lori is with her defense, which, if she’s trying to play the sympathy card, well, it kinda makes you wonder about the timing of this video.
