Is it just us, or were there a lot of stars who became first-time moms in 2019? There’s something so exciting about learning one of your favorite celebs is going to become a parent. You get to follow along with their journey, share in their milestones and celebrate when the little one arrives. And this year, there were plenty of opportunities to do just that!
The year isn’t even quite over yet and, already, it’s been a big one for new famous (new) mamas. Remember the pomp and circumstance surrounding Meghan Markle giving birth to her first child in May? The world rejoiced at the first glimpse of baby Archie. Orange Is the New Black alum gave us new life with her pure joy leading up to, well, actually giving new life. And we’ve all followed along, often laughing hysterically, as first-time mom Amy Schumer chronicles her post-partum adventures.
Considering an estimated 350,000 babies are born globally every day, the relative number of celebrities joining the parenthood probably isn’t any higher than normal. Still, that doesn’t change the fact that it feels as though we’ve been ooh-ing and ahh-ing over celebrity babies non-stop this year — and cheering on all of these famous new faces in the motherhood.
