When it comes to the royal family‘s Christmas lists, we have good news and we have bad news. The good news is that Princess Charlotte asked for a pony this year, confirming that she is the spirit animal of our 4-year-old selves, now and forever. The bad news? Parents Kate Middleton and Prince William aren’t going to give her one.
We’re sure that Charlotte will one day recover from her disappointment, and it sounds like that day might be sooner than later. According to Closer Weekly, Kate and William have a great lineup of presents in mind for the princess and her brother George (and baby bro Louis).
If you think Charlotte asking for a pony for Christmas is cute, wait until you hear why: “Charlotte takes after [Queen] Elizabeth and is obsessed with horses,” the insider says. “She’s asked for a pony but might have to wait until next year because William thinks she’s too young.”
As for 6-year-old George? “George is really into tennis and has asked for a new racket and a football table,” the source tells Closer. And Kate and William have been getting ahead on their Christmas shopping.
“They’ve bought [Charlotte] a toy riding center, which comes with all the accessories and a children’s karaoke machine,” the source reveals. “And they’ll both be receiving children’s cookery sets because they love making a mess in the kitchen!”
Fine, we suppose a toy riding center isn’t a bad second choice — and it sounds like William will relent on the pony gift in coming years. Now, does anyone know what Archie’s getting for Christmas?
