The item is up for auction through Profile in History’s Hollywood: A Collector’s Ransom auction taking place December 17 through December 19. Per the collection’s listing catalog, it has something for everyone. In addition to Meghan’s briefcase, the auction includes things like screen gowns worn by Elizabeth Taylor in the iconic movie Cleopatra, the jumper Judy Garland wore as Dorothy in the first two weeks of filming The Wizard of Oz, and Jeff Goldblum’s signature black leather jacket from Jurassic Park.
As for Meghan’s prop briefcase (#783 on the auction list), it’s described as being “constructed from lightweight, deep drawn aluminum, with chromed handle, hinges and latch lock closure.” The black acrylic and metal “24” is affixed to the front casing. And in case you’re wondering what amount the case “held” the last time it was used on Deal or No Deal, that amount is $5,000 — which is featured inside the case in the form of a cast resin block with raised numbers.

So, you’re probably wondering how much this briefcase would set you back, right? It’s expected to go for between $4,000 and $6,000 so, hopefully, you have some savings set aside. For reference, Taylor’s “Entrance Into Rome” and interment gown from Cleopatra is expected to fetch a cool $20,000 to $30,000.
