The Kardashians‘ annual Christmas Eve party was bigger and better than ever this year, complete with live musical guests, glitzy designer dresses, and enviable, over-the-top decor. But while the festive bash has come and gone, new pictures are still surfacing on social media, showing one person who surprisingly landed himself on the guest list.
In an Instagram story shared by Dr. Simon Ourian, who attended the party, Khloe Kardashian’s ex Tristan Thompson is seen in the background chatting with the mother-of-one — and to say fans were disappointed would be an understatement.
“A cheater never changes their spots. Some will never learn!” one fan wrote on social media, while another added, “God please as long as she doesn’t take him back as a partner, my girl DESERVES so MUCH BETTER THAN HIM.”

The couple, who welcomed 1-year-old daughter True Thompson in 2018, has had their share of ups and downs over the last couple of years. Just days before the Good American founder gave birth to her daughter, news broke that Tristan had cheated on her with another woman. Though they seemingly parted ways at the time, the couple remained on good terms for the sake of their newborn. Earlier this year, Tristan once again deceived Khloe when it was revealed that he had locked lips with Kylie Jenner’s best friend, Jordyn Woods — a move that completely shook the Kardashian family.
“No one understands how I’m not just a TV show, like, this is my life and it breaks my soul and it’s happened so many times,” Khloe revealed of Tristan’s behavior on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
But while Tristan’s appearance at the party raises a few eyebrows, it isn’t entirely shocking. He also attended True’s first birthday party, so perhaps the Kardashians wanted the athlete to be able to share in the celebrations with his daughter. After all, Khloe has been vocal about her desire to co-parent amicably in an effort to set a good example for True.
“I want to show my daughter it’s OK and it’s a beautiful thing to also forgive her dad. He’s a great person. Maybe him and I weren’t compatible in that way, but that’s OK,” the reality star revealed back in October. “I always want True to be surrounded by love and I know babies feel energy, we feel energy and I just want her to always feel bliss as much as I can.”
