David Foster ‘Felt Honored’ to Help Arrange Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s NYE Holiday

When you’re the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, you don’t exactly need hookups to swing fab holidays. But hey, it never hurts, right? It turns out, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had a little extra help in securing their picture-perfect Canadian vacation.  Legendary music producer David Foster, who is married to Katharine McPhee, a former schoolmate of the Duchess happily lent his home to the royal family.

Foster told the Daily Mail that he was eager to step in and help out after he learned that the royal family was looking for an “under-the-radar” place to get away for a “low-key holiday break” along with baby Archie and Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland.

As luck would have it, Foster happens to own an estate on the waterfront with a humble eight bedrooms and was glad to let the royals stay at his property.

“I felt honored that I was able to help Meghan there, because I’m a Canadian and we’re a commonwealth country. We’re the Crown’s,” Foster said. “It’s important to us, so I grew up with that kind of sentiment. I was really happy to be able to help them to find a respite just to take a little time off.”

Also really happy to find the royal couple in Canada were a pair of unsuspecting hikers who, as luck would have it, had their photo taken by Markle who happened to be hiking on the same trail on New Year’s Day. What a way to welcome 2020!
