We’re always excited for the weekend — but with Super Bowl Sunday to look forward to, we’re at a whole other level. For days, we’ve been bookmarking nacho recipes, poring over halftime details on J.Lo’s Instagram, and getting ready for Demi Lovato to — somehow — make us cry just by singing the National Anthem. But there’s one other very important aspect to Super Bowl Sunday we’ve been neglecting: the art of the celebrity commercials. Winona Ryder, Jason Momoa, and tons more stars have Super Bowl commercials planned, and that means we’re looking forward to some seriously star-studded ad breaks this Sunday.
That’s the great thing about Super Bowl Sunday. Even if you’re not exactly a die-hard football fan, there’s so much more to look forward to — and it’s the only night of the year where we actually look forward to some commercials. (We’ve even had kids weigh in on the Super Bowl ads.) So, who should we expect to see on our screens this Sunday? The list is longer than you might think.
Winona Ryder
Winona Ryder is in a commercial for Squarespace this year that shows her making a website for her birthplace: Winona, Minnesota. Ryder made a week-long trip to the town and created this website for her photos from the visit.
Jason Momoa

“Can’t wait for everyone to see me #getcomfortable on Sunday,” Jason Momoa wrote on Instagram. The video cuts between Momoa enjoying a long bubble bath with a book and hyping himself up in the mirror, and both are fantastic. We’re not sure how this is an ad for Rocket Mortgage by Quicken Loans, but we’re sure we’ll find out.
Ellen DeGeneres & Portia de Rossi
Ellen DeGeneres showed off her and Porti de Rossi’s commercial for the Amazon Alexa on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The commercial asks the question: What did people do before Alexa? The answer is not pretty.
Bryan Cranston & Tracee Ellis Ross

Two of our favorite TV stars, Bryan Cranston and Tracee Ellis Ross, teamed up for an epic Mountain Dew commercial that recreates horror movie The Shining.
John Krasinski, Rachel Dratch, & Chris Evans
Hyundai Sonata opted for triple the star power with Knives Out star Chris Evans, Office star John Krasinski, and SNL star Rachel Dratch — all rocking thick, thick Boston accents.
Rainn Wilson
Rainn Wilson will always be Dwight Schrute in our hearts, and honestly, this commercial could easily be an alternate timeline where Dwight becomes the CEO of a giant company and loses everything. Just watch, you’ll see what we mean.
Jimmy Fallon & John Cena
Jimmy Fallon and John Cena may not be perfectly paired workout buddies, but they make a great pair in this commercial. “I’m so proud I could squat you,” Cena tells Fallon in this Michelob Ultra ad. We can picture it.
Martha Stewart & Snoop Dogg
Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg, our favorite unlikely duo, paired up for a Tostitos Strips and Avocado Salsa commercial. “Good apart, better together,” is the slogan — y’know, just like Martha and Snoop.
Molly Ringwald
Pretty in Pink star Molly Ringwald feels strongly about her avocados — and she’s got lots of ideas for how to treat them right.
Lil Nas X & Sam Elliott
Grammy winner Lil Nas X set his hit song “Old Town Road” to a Doritos commercial for the Super Bowl, and actor Sam Elliott appears for a monologue in the extended version.
Post Malone

“I shot 2 commercials for @budlight seltzer & we can’t decide which ones going to air on the Super Bowl!” Post Malone announced on Instagram. “Check em out & reply with your pick.”
Charlie Day & Emily Hampshire
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Charlie Day and Schitt’s Creek star Emily Hampshire teamed up to air their dirty laundry together for a Tide ad.
