It’s been nearly two years since Drake confirmed he fathered a child, and fans are finally getting a glimpse of the little boy — the Grammy winner just shared rare photos of his son Adonis as part of a surprisingly emotional post inspired by the coronavirus pandemic and consequent quarantine. Social distancing has clearly made Drake sentimental and, hey, wearing his heart on his sleeve is a good look for the rapper.
Taking to Instagram early on Monday morning, Drake revealed the first official look at his two-year-old through a series of candid home photos. In one, Drake and the little boy are pictured together. In another, they’re joined by the little boy’s mother, Sophie Brussaux. Other snaps show the toddler at play. Also in the bunch was a portrait of Drake’s parents. ” What is most important for you right now is to connect to your own inner light. This will create the biggest opening of all. Trust that you have all of the power within to make this happen, and in order to do that connect to the people and things that bring you a lot of joy,” Drake began his thought-provoking caption.
“When the mind starts to move into overthinking or fear, shift your attention right away to something bright. It doesn’t matter what has happened in the past or what is happening around us now, you can always make the choice to break free of the wheel of suffering and panic and open up to your own light,” he continued.

Drake circled around the idea of manifesting your own light and awareness before touching on what undoubtedly served as the catalyst for his post: missing his loved ones.
“Remember that you are never alone, and if you need to be reminded of that ask for support and it will show up,” he wrote, adding, “It’s impossible to always control your surroundings, but when you shift the focus to how you want to feel, everything will conspire to assist you. I love and miss my beautiful family and friends and I can’t wait for the joyful day when we are all able to reunite. Until then please keep your lights on.”
Sweet and deep, Drake’s message is a nice reminder not to let negativity cloud your perspective during these trying times — and also never to take time with loved ones together. Quarantining has a way of making you grateful for even the most mundane moments spent with friends and family.
