While the royal family’s Easter won’t be going exactly as planned (is anything?), you know that Kate Middleton and Prince William are still going to do all they can to make it a special day for their kids. The family is currently believed to be at their country home, Anmer Hall, where Prince George and Princess Charlotte are being homeschooled, and Kate and William are doing their best to keep up with their royal engagements and nonprofits through videochat. And while talking to healthcare workers via Zoom, Kate and William dropped a detail about how they’ll be spending this year’s Easter. (Hint: it involves the Cambridge couple’s sweet tooth.)
On Easter, the Cambridge royals would typically spend the day with Queen Elizabeth II, who starts her Easter Sunday with a service at St. George’s Chapel, then spends the day among close family. This year, however, the Queen will have to celebrate without her family nearby, and Kate and William will have to host their own festivities in Norfolk.

While chatting with healthcare workers, William reassured them they’d be keeping at least one Easter tradition alive — feasting on lots and lots of chocolates. “There’ll be a lot of chocolate eaten here, don’t worry,” the Duke promised.
But according to Kate, George, Charlotte, and Prince Louis should act fast. “You keep eating it!” she accused William playfully.
Honestly, who isn’t reaching for a little extra chocolate these days? We see you, William, and it’s never too early for Easter chocolate.
