Alec Baldwin Singing & Playing Ukulele With His Toddler Rome Will Brighten Your Day

When it comes to instant mood boosters, you can’t get much better than cute kids. And as a new video of Alec Baldwin singing with his toddler son Rome proves, an adorable kid and his overjoyed dad doing their thing will definitely brighten your day. So, consider this your morning does of feel-good warm and fuzzies, courtesy of Alec’s wife (and Rome’s mommy) Hilaria Baldwin.

The 36-year-old mom took to Instagram late Monday evening to share the oh-so-sweet candid moment captured between her youngest child and his father. In the video, the little boy — whose full name is Romeo Alejandro David Baldwin — appears to tell Alec, “You sing!” The almost-two-year-old strums a rainbow-striped ukulele as his dad abides. “Ooh, baby,” Alec sings as he plays his own ukulele.

Rome mimics his dad, who starts to get creative with the lyrics. “Wall-E! Ev-a!” Alec belts out, leading us to believe a certain Pixar film about robots is a big hit in the Baldwin household. When Rome follows suit and sings the names of the characters, Alec can’t help but laugh. The look of sheer joy on his face as he turns to the camera is priceless. Without a doubt, this will be one of those home videos the family treasures forever.

And speaking of the Baldwin family, it’s about to get bigger! Little Rome won’t be the baby of the family once the fifth Baldwin child comes along later this year. Hilaria and Baldwin already share kids Carmen, 6, Rafael Thomas, 4, Leonardo, 3, and Romeo. Now, they’re pregnant once more.

Hilaria announced the exciting update just last week, sharing the audio from her ultrasound on Instagram and writing, “I’ll let the baby do the talking because I don’t have the words to express how this sound makes us feel. Just got the great news that all is well and all is healthy with this little munchkin. I wanted to share with you. Here we go again.”

The announcement comes four months after Hilaria and Alec heartbreakingly suffered her second miscarriage of 2019. But with a healthy rainbow baby on the way, the family is understandably feeling relieved and full of joy. And while baby Rome will obviously have to adjust to not being the youngest anymore, something tells us he’ll enjoy having a future bandmate in the house.
