Rejoice, my fellow sci-fi fans! HBO has just announced that they’ll be renewing the dystopian (and highly addictive) Westworld for Season 4, just a few weeks before the Season 3 finale. In a few years, Westworld has developed a cult following, but fans became worried when there was a two-year hiatus between Seasons 2 and 3. Now, it seems like the show is back and bigger than ever, with stars Evan Rachel Wood and Thandie Newton still firmly on board.
HBO president Casey Bloys gave a statement about the decision to renew the series — basically, they’re just as obsessed with the twisted world they’ve created as we are.

“From the western theme park to the technocratic metropolis of the near future, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed every twist and turn from the minds of master storytellers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy,” he said. “We can’t wait to see where their inspired vision takes us next.”
Season 3 was a bit of a shock for fans, as we entered a world outside the theme park for the first time and welcomed newcomers Tessa Thompson and Aaron Paul. As Dolores gets to know the new Los Angeles, and Maeve explores new territory at Delos, the world of Westworld is rapidly expanding — Season 4 could truly go anywhere.
If there’s anything we need more of right now, it’s quality TV. Here’s hoping that Westworld is able to start filming before too long.
