Whatever level of wellness Kourtney Kardashian has reached, that’s where I want to be. Today, yet another of millions of Instagram trolls found their way over to this goddess’ page to suggest, in all caps, that the mom of three was once again pregnant. The photo on which they commented showed Kourtney laying on her back reading and frankly, looking more like a fitness influencer than a mom-to-be (not, of course, that the two are mutually exclusive). What I mean is: wherever this troll thinks they’re seeing a belly, that ain’t it. But what shocked me more than this run-of-the-mill body-shaming was Kourtney’s insanely cool response. The short version? You can’t shame someone about their body when they know they have nothing to be ashamed of. And Kourtney is definitely there.
This perfect exchange was captured by Comments By Celebs, which highlighted both the initial comment and Kourtney’s response. After a fan wrote, “SHE’S PREGENANT” (yes, that’s how it was spelled) under her photo, Kourtney wrote back in a decidedly unimpressed tone.

“This is me when I have a few extra pounds on, and I actually love it,” the eldest Kardashian sister replied. “I have given birth three amazing times and this is the shape of my body.”
Is that not the most epic (and serene) response you’ve ever seen to a stranger telling you you look pregnant? Kourtney looks incredible, but what’s even more amazing is how unbothered she was by the idea that someone would look at her photo and see a “bump.” None of us should ever have to account for why our stomachs stick out more one day than the other, and Kourtney’s comeback gives us the perfect template to respond.
“This is the shape of my body” will be my morning mantra from now on. I welcome you to try it too.
