Bachelor Nation’s Jade Roper Announces She’s Expecting Baby No. 3

Another tiny member of Bachelor Nation is on the way! Jade Roper just announced she’s expecting baby No. 3 with husband Tanner Tolbert, and the Bachelor in Paradise couple couldn’t be happier to break the big news. Roper and Tolbert, both 33, also share daughter Emerson, 2, and son Brooks, 10 months. And while that might seem like a small gap between baby Brooks and his new sibling, it’s by design — Roper and Tolbert are ecstatic to “have our children be so close.”

Roper took to Instagram on Monday to share the development, posting a precious family photo. In the snapshot, she smiles as she holds Emerson (who looks super pumped) on her lap. Brooks sits in front of Emerson, resting on top of Tolbert, who is lying facedown on the floor with sonogram pics in one hand and a positive pregnancy test in the other. Brooks and Tolbert hilariously seem to share the same sentiment about a new sibling: overwhelmed.

But it’s all in good fun because Roper’s words leave little doubt about how much joy the news has given the family. Well, aside from some less-than-desirable pregnancy symptoms. “Here we grow again!!! It feels so good to be able to finally talk about this pregnancy!” she gushed. “If you noticed I haven’t been on social media much the past couple of months, it’s because I was dealing with terrible nausea and fatigue, on top of taking care of two kiddos during a pandemic. Although this time has its uncertainties, we are so thankful and excited for this baby.”

The soon-to-be mama-of-three also made a poignant statement on bringing new life into the world amid the pandemic. “I truly believe babies being born during this time are here for a special reason, to be light workers,” she shared.

As far as conceiving less than a year after the birth of her second child (which some fans on social media were surprised about), Roper explained that she and Tolbert are looking forward to having a big, tight-knit crew. She wrote, “We are beyond happy to love another baby, to give Emmy and Brooks another sibling and to have our children be so close!”

It’s always nice to see celebrities doing well in their marriage and growing their families, but it’s especially exciting for those of us who are Bachelor Nation fans to follow along with success stories from the reality TV dating franchise. Roper and Tolbert met on the second season of Bachelor in Paradise, and their wedding was broadcast on a special episode of the 20th season of The Bachelor.
