Who doesn’t love a Christmas Surprise? Especially one involving a new member of the family. Josh Brolin and Kathryn Boyd welcomed their second child together on Christmas day. How special is that?! The couple took to Instagram yesterday to share their lovely news with a beautiful newborn photo.
Boyd wrote “❤️Baby Chapel❤️ Born at 6:20 pm on 12/25/20 Our little Christmas evening angel…Chapel Grace Brolin.” Brolin humorously commented on the post writing “Wow. That’s amazing! Congratula…wait…WHAT?!?!” Other celebrities shared their congratulations in the comments, including Kate Hudson who said “Sweet baby! Congrats mama and papa! Welcome Chapel 🙏✨” and Hilarie Burton who commented “Yay!!!! Amazing!!! Much love to your gorgeous family.” The pair share one other child together, their two-year-old daughter Westlyn.

Brolin made a post of his own, explaining the meaning behind Chapel Grace’s name and it is truly quite beautiful. “🎄Chapel Grace🎄 Everywhere we have traveled the one place Kathryn and I always found a great solace in were chapels. Not being particularly religious but a God feeling has heavily inundated our lives and chapels have always been sanctuaries where we felt connectedly free to gives thanks. Chapel Grace is, to us, a manifestation of that celestial feeling that was always felt as we meandered and knelt.”

The new mother-of-two shared her pregnancy with the world earlier this year in a post kissing her first-born Westlyn, while showing her baby bump! She tagged Brolin and captioned the adorable picture “The Brolin’s are a growin’ !! Our little December babe is on the way…. 🌱”
