You’ve been waiting for months and the biggest night of film is finally here. The 93rd Academy Awards ceremony is tonight at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST on ABC. If you don’t have cable, you can stream it with Hulu + Live or fuboTV.
The Oscars usually take place in February, but it was delayed this year due to COVID-19. The ceremony will look considerably different this year. It will be filmed at both Los Angeles Union Station and the Dolby Theatre, and there will still be a red carpet where the stars can show off their looks. There won’t be any audience, though. In lieu of a host, film director Steven Soderbergh will be in charge the ceremony. The director is known for Ocean’s 11 and Logan Lucky, and he’ll be treating the awards ceremony like a film. We’re not entirely sure what that means, but it will definitely be a departure from previous years.
As for famous faces, Brad Pitt, Harrison Ford, Laura Dern, Regina King, Joaquin Phoenix, Zendaya and Reese Witherspoon are just a few of the Hollywood A-listers who will be presenting this evening.
Mank leads the Oscar race with a whopping 10 nominations and is followed by Nomadland.
