Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Friend Just Shut Down This ‘Nonsense’ Rumor About Their Marriage

Another day, another rumor about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s marriage falling to pieces. On July 18, RadarOnline posted a story claiming that the Sussexes were in the midst of a “trial separation,” which royals expert and friend of the family Omid Scobie says is absolute nonsense.

“I’m not sure everyone realises what kind of outlet Radar is,” Scobie wrote on Twitter. “If you believe the site’s ‘marriage on the rocks’ nonsense then you also believe their other royal ‘scoops’,” he added, sharing screenshots of headlines attacking Prince William and Kate Middleton’s relationship.

For the most part, royal fans seemed to be in agreement. The story itself claims that Prince Harry doesn’t fit in with Meghan’s “Tinseltown” aesthetic, even though Prince Harry has brushed shoulders with celebrities since he was a child and even before meeting his wife.

While any sort of headline tearing down any member of the royal family isn’t exactly a new practice, Scobie made a valid point when calling out this particular instance of reporting. When asked why Scobie didn’t feel the need to debunk the Kate and William headlines he posted, the royal journalist replied, “Did any mainstream outlets pick up on those stories and present the need to comment? No. Scuttle off now…”

Insiders allegedly told Radar that Markle and Prince Harry were “taking time apart” after experiencing loads of stress related to their tense relationship with the royal family, citing a past few “rocky” months.

According to Scobie, nothing could be further from the truth. And given that exact details seem to be missing from a lot of these reports claiming a trial separation, it feels like this particular news item is just another headache for Meghan and Harry to deal with.
