The rumors about Meghan Marklerelaunching her beloved lifestyle blog, The Tig, might soon become a reality. She parked the website in 2017 after her engagement to Prince Harry, but she never let the brand go completely — and now we might have a reason why.
As Meghan works with high-powered Hollywood talent agency, William Morris Endeavor, to create a focus and direction in her post-royal life, The Tig has always seemed like a strong contender to make a comeback. If she wants to jump into the A-lister realm of lifestyle gurus like Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, and Gwyneth Paltrow, then a blog is a great place to start. TMZ has the inside track on her trademark papers for The Tig and they reported that the path for clearance is expected to be complete by October.
According to the legal documents, The Tig is expected to focus on “food, cooking, recipes, travel, relationships, fashion, style, lifestyle, the arts, culture, design, conscious living, and health and wellness.” It’s similar to the topics she covered when the site was last active, but it wouldn’t be surprising for the Duchess of Sussex to also launch her own product lines to go along with the blog. It would be a perfect blend of her Hollywood and royal life but packaged in a much more relatable way.
Despite the Sussexes’ setback with their Spotify deal, they have genuinely been embraced by Netflix based on the success of their two docuseries, Heart of Invictus and Harry & Meghan. Their next creative endeavor will be adapting Carley Fortune’s book, Meet Me at the Lake, for the streaming platform, which could set off a flurry of projects for the couple, if successful. While the British tabloids want to keep writing Harry and Meghan off, the duo seems to be thriving in the next stage of their careers.
