Only two months after Joe Manganiello and Sofia Vergara called it quits on their nearly 10-year relationship, Manganiello is already, reportedly seeing someone new (and she’s 13 years younger than him).
On Sept 13, the Magic Mike alum was photographed leaving a gym in California with a woman, who was later identified as fellow actress Caitlin O’Connor. When the photos obtained by Page Six were posted, many speculated if this was a new lady love in his life, and it turns out, the speculation was somewhat right.
According to TMZ, Manganiello and O’Connor are getting to know each other, and are allegedly “casually dating” after meeting in Aug at a screening event for Season 2 of Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty. Per the details obtained by TMZ, they bonded over a plethora of subjects like the greater Pittsburgh area, and even got a bit cozy in a jacuzzi together.
Now, who is O’Connor, you may be asking yourselves? She is an actress and TV host, known for her roles in Glass Jaw and Addicted to You.
Not much else is known about their budding romance, but fans are quite shocked about two things: the age gap and how soon he’s moved on after his and Vergara’s divorce.
Manganiello has had a few public relationships over the years, with no discernable pattern in age like some actors (yes, we’re looking at you Leonardo DiCaprio!) Many celebrity couples have larger age gaps like this one, but it still comes as a shock to many.
And in case you didn’t know, after seven years of marriage, Vergara and Manganiello called it quits in July 2023. They met back in 2014 at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, and a few weeks after she split with Nick Loeb, Manganiello asked for her number. They got engaged on Christmas Eve 2014, and were together for nearly ten years.
