It’s finally here. The first day of autumn has arrived and with it comes a slew of fall fashion trends we love, including scarves. But when it comes to the aforementioned seasonal accessory, no one’s doing it quite like Lenny Kravitz. The singer announced the beginning of fall (and his new TikTok account) with a fall-themed video — and, before you even ask, we can confirm a ridiculously gigantic scarf was involved.
In Kravitz’s first TikTok post, which you can check out below, the “Fly Away” singer is decked out in the most fabulous threads, including a big knit scarf. Striding down the pavement of a picturesque park, Kravitz looks, through his iconic shades, to the camera. “Grab your big scarf,” he says. “It’s the first day of fall.”
And with that, the King of Gigantic Scarves and Lord of the Ludicrously Large Autumnal Accessories announced that a new season is finally upon us. Look, we didn’t really need this announcement. Stepping outside and checking the calendar would’ve been enough to let us know that autumn’s finally here. But, even we have to admit, Kravitz’s video was the perfect way to usher in a new season.
For years, Kravitz’s giant scarves have been an internet fixation. The singer and songwriter was previously photographed out and about sporting scarves that are a few (many) sizes too big. What began as a fashion statement has sort of turned into a bit. And, honestly, we kind of love that Kravitz is leaning into it and playing it up.
