One of Pete Davidson’s Exes Just Opened Up About the Major Life Changes She Made After Their Relationship

As one of Hollywood’s most notorious ladies’ men, the world seems to be fascinated by Pete Davidson‘s dating life. From his called-off engagement with Ariana Grande to his nine-month relationship with Kim Kardashian, his dating track record is both impressive and, honestly, quite baffling. So, of course, for any woman choosing to go on a date with Davidson, they must know that the world is watching, right? As it turns out, not everyone has that thought before they start dating the Saturday Night Live alum.

For Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor, who dated Davidson from February to August 2021, their relationship was quite a wake-up call. “It just goes back to being naïve—I didn’t think anyone would care,” she recently told Elle as the magazine’s newest cover star. “I was just being a young woman and dating and somehow that provokes a conversation.”

Throughout their six-month relationship, Dynevor said she learned a few “hard lessons.” “You realize, ‘Oh, I can’t live my life in the way that I used to. I have to keep my cards slightly closer to my chest,'” she explained. “There was a time, for example, when I’d post anything on my Instagram, and now I’m very, very careful about what I put out into the world.”

In addition to seeing herself in the media more than ever before, Dynevor had one major concern during that time: the paparazzi. “Having men outside your house with cameras is super scary when you live on your own,” she said. “There were men who would wait outside my house with cameras, and it was the same men a few times. I don’t want to go on the record and say that I was being stalked, but when you have paparazzi who are waiting outside your house, it definitely feels like that.”

As for her relationship with the media, the upcoming Fair Play star also learned a lesson or two. “People are going to make up whatever story that they want to make from a few pictures, that’s fine,” she said. “I had to learn to let things go and let it wash over my head instead of the normal reaction, which is to be like, ‘But that’s not true, and that didn’t happen.'”

“You have to let it go and focus on the work,” she continued. “I really am just here to act; I love my job so much, and it was weird for me that the attention was being taken away from my work.”

Luckily for Dynevor, the end of her relationship with Davidson, which was reportedly due to busy schedules and long distance, meant that the media attention cooled off and she could go back to being herself and focusing on her work. We can’t imagine how stressful that must have been.
