Travis Kelce Has Some Serious Thoughts About the NFL Suddenly Fangirling His Taylor Swift Romance

The NFL seems to be enjoying the ratings bonanza of the Traylor dating situation, but Travis Kelce might not be as enthusiastic. Ever since the pop star set foot in his personal suite at the stadium, the football league has been leaning in hard with their wall-to-wall coverage of one athlete’s romantic pursuits. 

The Kansas City Chief tight-end revealed just how he’s feeling about his personal life being on display in his New Heights podcast that he hosts with brother and Philadelphia Eagles center, Jason Kelce. Jason got right to the heart of the matter and asked, “Is the NFL overdoing it? What is your honest opinion?”  

“I think everybody is just, like, overwhelmed,” responded Travis.

“Take away your feelings for Taylor,” Jason continued, “What is your honest opinion on how the NFL is treating celebrities at the games?” 

Travis doesn’t seem to mind that his new girlfriend brought along a posse of famous pals, including Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and Sophie Turner, describing it as “fun.” He said, “I think it brings a little more to the atmosphere, it brings a little bit more to what you’re watching. But at the same time, I think…” 

But that’s when Jason finished off his sibling’s sentence. “They’re overdoing it,” he truthfully said. 

“They’re overdoing it a little bit, for sure,” Travis agreed. “Especially my situation. I think they’re just trying to have fun with it.” 

But the NFL knows that the duo’s romance has turned into a rating bonanza for the networks airing the games Swift attends. And it certainly hasn’t hurt merchandise and ticket sales either. Travis’ jersey saw a “400 percent increase” after the first game his girlfriend watched the Chiefs playing against the Chicago Bears, according to CBS Sports. The frenzy is only going to escalate if the dynamic duo becomes even more serious about their relationship (or PR ploy, depending on who you talk to). So, Travis better buckle up and enjoy the ride because it’s likely to only get wilder.
