Prince William & Kate Middleton Are Still at Odds Over This Issue After a ‘Tough Year’ in Their Marriage

Prince William and Kate Middleton may look picture-perfect when fans see them at royal appearances, but their marriage is just like anyone else’s union — there are good days and there are bad days. With so much upheaval at the palace over the last year from the loss of Queen Elizabeth II and the ongoing family feud, the couple reportedly weathered through quite a storm. 

A source revealed to Us Weekly that it was a “tough year” for the Prince and Princess of Wales. However, no one seems to be worried about the strength of their relationship. “Everyone agrees William and Kate have done a wonderful job staying strong in the face of such adversity,” they added. There is a lot of added pressure in their new roles as well and they are working to find a balance between home and royal life. 

The one big sticking point that Kate and William reportedly don’t see eye-to-eye on is the couple’s future relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. While William is open to a reconciliation, the damage from the Duke of Sussex’s memoir, Spare, is long-lasting. Kate is not interested in breaking bread with her brother and sister-in-law. “Kate has no desire to communicate with Harry nor Meghan,” the insider added. “There has been too much that has happened and she’s not ready yet.”

That future reunion will have to be a talking point between the royal couple once William is truly ready to make amends. With Kate resistant to the idea, it might be best not to push the subject after a roller-coaster year. But as the royal insider promised, Kate and William know how to sort things out and get through those tough times together. “Kate and William have been having ups and downs in their marriage like everyone else,” they summed up. “But they’re focused on their royal duties and doing that as a unit.”
