In some ways, it is hard to believe that Taylor Swift dated Joe Alwyn for six years. The ultra-private couple kept their relationship so far off the radar, that there is barely any public photographic evidence of their time together. Now, that the “Shake It Off” singer is dating Travis Kelce, she’s taking a much different approach.
“With the first leg of her Eras Tour over, Swift is all about putting herself first. Taylor’s doing all the things she hasn’t had time for lately, like going out with her friends and staying out late,” a source told Us Weekly. That also means making time for her football star boyfriend, who seems to enjoy the limelight just as much as Swift. “Taylor has decided she’s not going to hide anymore,” a second insider added. “She’s going to be her authentic self and enjoy life.”
The telegenic duo is enjoying those early days of their relationship, which includes spending as much time together as they possibly can. “Taylor’s really enjoying getting to know Travis,” they continued. “They’re taking it day by day, but she has high hopes. She likes that he’s a normal, nice guy. He’s down-to-earth and isn’t affected by fame. She also thinks he’s hot.” Despite the PR-stunt criticism, a pal close to Kelce promised, “Travis is completely smitten.”
And while friends promise their love is the real deal, Swift and Kelce know how valuable they are as a couple. His NFL jersey sales are skyrocketing and the pop star is going to have a big weekend at the box office when her Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour opens on Oct. 13. It seems that Swift was looking for something different from her Alwyn relationship where the duo snuck around in private. This time around, she is shouting from the rooftops that Kelce is her man.
