If you can’t stop thinking about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s reported budding relationship, let us assure you that you’re not alone. After all, it’s not every day that you get a pop star cheering for an NFL superstarin the stands. But, if you were betting that these two would be all over each other every week, or in every game, you might’ve gotten ahead of yourself.
This Sunday, for example, the Kansas City Chiefs played against the Minnesota Vikings in Minneapolis. Swift, however, was nowhere to be seen. A couple of days earlier, on Oct 5, Kelce turned 34 years old and celebrated his birthday with friends in a steakhouse in Kansas City, Missouri. Also not in attendance at the dinner party: Swift.
And though it would be easy for us to read into her absence as some kind of sign that their budding relationship isn’t going as smoothly as we hoped, we should remind ourselves that she’s one of the busiest singers in the world right now. In other words, we shouldn’t be surprised if she misses a couple of special occasions here and there.
Most of all, according to a new source, their relationship is still progressing despite the distance. “He jokes she is his good luck charm,” a source told The Messenger.
As for how Swift feels about being the cheerleader-to-watch during his games, the “Lover” singer appears to have thoroughly enjoyed her two previous visits to the VIP box. “Taylor is having the time of her life at these football games cheering on Travis,” the source added. “[She] and her friends are fully embracing this era and are having a lot of fun being there.”
“Taylor has worked very hard this last year and It’s fun for her to bring all of her friends along, let loose and show support,” the source continued.
Looks like the two lovebirds are still quite confident in their budding relationship despite not being able to be there 100% of the time. Fingers crossed Swift makes it to one of his games again soon! Or maybe Kelce could go party at an Eras Tour show? Here’s hoping!
