Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez made sure their divorce went swiftly and smoothly after going their separate ways. The real estate agent doesn’t seem to want to get caught up in the “Thank U, Next” singer’s on-set drama after she engaged in an alleged affair with her Wicked co-star, Ethan Slater. The former couple appeared to move forward in an amicable way by honoring their prenuptial agreement.
Grande gets to keep her “miscellaneous jewelry and other personal effects” as well as her earnings that were kept as separate property in the original legal documents, according to the court papers obtained by Hollywood Life. Dalton is walking away with a lump sum of $1.25 million instead of alimony to speed up the separation process. The former couple is also selling their Los Angeles home and will split the proceeds from the sale. In addition, Grande will cover $25,000 of Gomez’s legal costs.
According to a TMZ source, this was a fair and civil end to their two-year marriage. “There is still a strong mutual love and respect between Ariana and Dalton, and they wanted to make sure everything was done right in lockstep with one another,” they shared. The only thing Grande and Gomez are waiting on is the final signature from a judge which will render them officially single once more.
While Grande is reportedly shacking up with Slater in New York City while he stars in the Broadway revival of Spamalot, Gomez isn’t sitting home alone. He was spotted making out with actress Maika Monroe, so it looks like the short-lived union truly is over. They have both moved on in as friendly a way as possible.
