Kevin Costner‘s acrimonious divorce from his wife Christine Baumgartner was only settled on September 19 after months of tense legal back-and-forth but one person involved in the process is already on to the next.
After helping Costner fight back against Baumgartner’s attempts to circumvent their prenup and secure a huge child support payout, powerhouse attorney to the celebs Susan E. Wiesner has now been enlisted by rapper Tyga in his fight against his ex’s request to get more custody of their son.
Per Radar Online, Wiesner has plenty of experience in the world of celebrity divorces and previously represented Spice Girls member Mel B, Jane Lynch’s ex-wife, David Hasselhoff’s ex-wife, and Jeremy Renner in his custody battle with his ex-wife.
Tyga and model Blac Chyna share a 10-year-old son, King Cairo, who lives primarily with his father. However, in July, Chyna filed a Petition to Determine Parental Relationship against Tyga in Los Angeles Superior Court, requesting joint custody of their son.
Chyna, who also shares a daughter with Rob Kardashian, reportedly has around 30% custody of King but the former couple never actually went to court to work out child support and custody.
Back in March 2022, Tyga spoke out after Chyna claimed on X (formerly Twitter) that she receives “no support” as a “single” mother. “I pay 40k a year for my son school & he lives w me mon- sat. Why would I pay child support lol,” wrote in comments under an Instagram post that reshared Chyna’s tweets.
Kardashian, who shares 6-year-old Dream with Chyna, also commented, writing, “I pay 37k a year for my daughter’s school. I handle every single medical expense. I pay for all her extracurricular activities. I have my daughter from Tuesday-Saturday. Why would i pay child support lol.”
In her recent court documents, Chyna is requesting the court award her $125k to fight Tyga and to hire an accountant to examine his finances. She claims her income has drastically decreased in recent years and her assets are running out quickly.
The mother-of-two claims she has property worth $1.5 million but only $11k in the bank. Chyna claims she makes an average of around $32k per month but her monthly expenses total over $70k. She said her monthly mortgage runs her back $22k, she spends $3k on property taxes, $8k on health care costs, $5k on childcare, $5k on food, $1,400 on utilities, $850 on cell phones, $3,200 on laundry and cleaning, $2,500 on clothes, $2k on entertainment, and $24k to pay off a loan and a credit card bill.
Tyga has yet to file a response in court but did post on social media after the lawsuit, writing, “10 years later… nah. Stick to ur schedule sat-mon.” And based on his choice of lawyer, we’re guessing he’s gearing up to fight back.
