Jada Pinkett Smithdropped a bomb on fans while promoting her new memoir, Worthy— she and husband Will Smith had been separated for seven years. Just as everyone was getting used to the Hollywood power couple’s new normal, the 52-year-old actress is now hinting that this major life change might be shifting again.
Jada revealed to TooFab that the former duo “still share a family home” while she maintains a “little house” for “me time.” That’s when she added another complicated layer to her marital equation. “I don’t know how long that is going to last, to be honest with you. I think that time is kind of dwindling,” she admitted. “To be honest with you, so I’m just enjoying the moments that I have left within my little sanctuary, but I do think that will be coming to an end.” Record scratch! Does that mean a reconciliation is in the works?
It seems that the publication of her book inspired them to come together and discuss where they are headed in the future. Jada seems to indicate that Will might be a part of her life beyond being her estranged partner. “And so, really walking together through some of these really tough moments that have happened, publicly and not publicly and getting a deeper understanding,” she said, “It has just been really, really beautifully amazing.”
The door seems to be wide open for a reconciliation between Will and Jada, even though they have both admitted that they don’t have a “perfect marriage.” She knows that “life is forever in flux” and it seems that her marriage to Will is evolving into something new — thanks to her memoir which might have been their best couples’ counseling tool for them.
