Although we can all agree that Travis Kelce‘s relationship with Taylor Swift didn’t put the two-time Super Bowl winner “on the map,” per the hilarious TikTok trend, their headline-making romance definitely heightened the world’s attention on the two.
So much so that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end recently made a real estate deal to guarantee “privacy” for himself and, of course, Swift whenever she comes to visit.
First reported by TMZ, Kelce just closed the deal on a $6 million mansion in Kansas City with 6 bedrooms, 6 baths and over 16,000 square feet of living space. According to the outlet, his new place is an upgrade in terms of luxury too, with features including a pool with a waterfall, a tennis court, a pickleball court and even a mini golf course.
Previously, Kelce lived in a much smaller home which he bought in 2019 for $995,000, Page Six reports. Per the outlet, however, Kelce’s former home, which was not in a gated community like his new one, proved to be too accessible for fans and paparazzi alike.
Recently, for example, his pad had reportedly become somewhat of a “tourist attraction” with a number of people going by the place to take pictures. We can’t imagine how unsettling that must be.
And although this was an ongoing problem, the accessibility became even more or a problem when Swift came to visit recently and a number of paparazzi parked outside of his house just waiting for any shots of the couple, TMZ reports.
As a reminder, Kelce and Swift made quite a splash this weekend in New York City as they walked hand in hand in the streets, guest-starred in Saturday Night Live and had dinner together at the celebrity hotspot Nobu. Looks like these two aren’t afraid to be seen together – in their own terms, of course.
