While Casey DeSantis claims that being dubbed Walmart Melania Trump is a compliment, it has led more people to find even more similarities between the two. Many have seen similarities in primarily their fashion, but DeSantis’ new partnership has definitely solidified that the two are incredibly alike in more ways than one.
On Oct 19, DeSantis spoke at the New College of Florida, where she announced the partnership between the college and the Florida Department of Children and Families, per the New Herald via Yahoo.
She detailed that the state university would become an employment sponsor with Hope Florida, which is a program through the department that helps people transition out of assistance programs.
While this partnership isn’t through the Courage to Be Free author’s wife, it did make people see another similarity: she and Melania, while in the public eye as the wives of politicians, used their role to focus on programs based around children and families.
When Melania was the First Lady, she worked with children and families. She had the “Be Best” campaign back in 2018, which was made to raise awareness of online bullying, but it didn’t do much after one year, per NPR. And in her post-White House era, worked to release a “Fostering the Future, a Be Best Initiative” scholarship for foster children, per Insider.
Even if the projects aren’t directly related to them, both have focused on announcing and fostering ventures for children; and like we said, it shows people another major similarity.
