“She still loves Don, and the kids like it,” the source noted. Gummer and Streep share son Henry and three daughters Mamie, Grace, and Louisa, along with five grandchildren. “It’s very funny, she says the kids scope out her ring finger every time she sees them.”

The news about their separation came as a surprise to many, given that the couple had publicly celebrated 45 years together in September 2023. A month later, a representative for Streep revealed that the two had been separated “for more than six years,” adding that “while they will always care for each other, they have chosen lives apart.”
“They are so low-key as a couple, even with Meryl’s fame, that they really didn’t think it was a big deal to keep it to themselves,” the source explains of their decision to keep their separation under wraps for so long. “They came out about it now because the time just felt right.”
