Fans have been anxiously awaiting what Meghan Markle’s next big-money move could be. While musings of acting, and politics, have been circulating the internet for the past few weeks, many ardent fans are still waiting to see if her Grace Award-winning podcast Archetypes could make a comeback after getting shockingly axed from Spotify, and if she’ll revive The Tig. While a potential Audible deal is on the way, experts believe The Tig may actually be a thing of the past.
Within the past few months, there have been quite a few potential clues that the Duchess of Sussex was planning on making her comeback with a lifestyle guru focus. From the paperwork she filed (and reportedly retracted) to the mysterious Instagram account that fans are convinced is hers, people were convinced she’d be back and better than ever with the Tig. However, one royal expert believes that this may never come to fruition.
Speaking on Hello Magazine’s A Right Royal Podcast, Hello!’s royal editor Emily Nash explained that she believes Meghan’s reported Instagram account (that was said to potentially make her millions) will probably stay dormant.
“My understanding is that this account was set up for her in case she wanted to go back to that world,” she said. “As you know she was hugely successful on Instagram with her The Tig account – and it is something she did really well and we learned so much about her when she first came on the scene because of her Insta account.”
She added, “But I don’t think it is something she is planning on any time soon. It’s nice that she’s got the option and she already has a huge audience if she did decide to pop up. But I guess it is a contingency – and also I guess as a famous person, you have to grab these handles while you can.”
Despite many signs pointing to a potentially soon revival, experts think the Instagram account was more of a security blanket than anything else. So it seems fans may have to wait longer for a Meghan comeback.
