Prince Harry’s memoir,Spare, rocked the royal world earlier this year with his side of the story of the family feud. The palace has remained relatively silent about the revelations the Duke of Sussex shared, but Prince William and Kate Middleton might be getting their version of events out in an upcoming tell-all book.

Don’t get too excited, though! As senior royals, William and Kate can’t write it themselves, but they might have a stealth way of sharing their own bombshells, according to OK! Magazine. Carole Middleton’s younger brother, Gary Goldsmith, is reportedly set on revealing “private family details” to “set the record straight” about the future king and queen’s relationship with Harry and Meghan Markle.

“When Harry was originally compiling his book, his publisher was confident William wouldn’t comment because it wouldn’t be fitting for a future King to do so,” a source explained to the media outlet. “Harry wouldn’t have anticipated such a comeback from Kate’s family. He and Meghan won’t like it one bit and will be dreading the book’s release.” Goldsmith does have to tread lightly, though, since he “is still very close to both Carole and Kate.”

The insider added, “He won’t want to do anything that will embarrass them, but it could be a good way of putting a Middleton voice out there to set the record straight over some of the things Harry wrote about in Spare.” They think that a slightly disguised rebuttal by the Prince and Princess of Wales through Goldsmith’s words would shock the Sussexes, particularly Meghan. “Meghan won’t be expecting Kate’s family to get back at her,” the source noted. “She’s very aware that the royals ‘never complain, never explain’ as the saying goes.”

While some Sussex critics may applaud Goldsmith’s rumored book, others find him thirsty for the limelight. He reportedly tried very hard to get cast on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! this year, but was rejected for being “too much of a risk.” It seems like everyone wants to cash in on their royal adjacent status these days.
